POLICE at the Durban Harbour in KZN seized cocaine worth R151 million on Monday, 4 December.
This bust comes after officials followed up on intelligence and monitored a container on a ship from Brazil.
According to police spokeswoman Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, the multidisciplinary team inspected the container at a cold storage facility and found 433 blocks of cocaine disguised in meat boxes.
"To date, no arrests have been made, and the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) has taken over the investigation," she said.
This is the third biggest drug bust in the past two months at the harbour. Mathe said further, adding that in October, the same team seized cocaine worth R150 million.
