FOUR more suspects in the Soshanguve New Year’s mass murder have been arrested.
Their arrest is part of an intelligence-led operation led by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in Pretoria and the Hawks' Tactical Operations Management Section (TOMS), which worked tirelessly to bring those responsible for the killings in Soshanguve to justice.
Rietgat police were called to a shooting incident in Soshanguve Jukulyn, Tshwane, in the early hours of Monday morning, 1 January.
The names of the deceased are Mpho Kgobotlo (30), a constable who was stationed at OR Tambo Police Station, Phomolo Malakapatlo (28), Thandi Dlamini (34), and 14-year-old Vuyolethu Ziwela from Soshanguve Block P.

Three males and one female were apprehended in various regions around Pretoria on Saturday night, 6 January, bringing the total number of arrested suspects to six.
Three firearms, including an AK-47 and two pistols, were seized.
The additional suspects will appear in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 9 January, on allegations of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The first two suspects who were arrested on Tuesday morning, 2 January, appeared before the Soshanguve Magistrates Court last week, Thursday, 4 January.
Tshepo Stompie Masombuka (30) and Sipho Rusty Kgomo (33) appeared on four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Their case was postponed to Friday, 12 January, for a formal bail application and to establish the scheduling of the offence as the specialised investigating officers arrived late with the docket, prolonging the court proceedings.
