THE “pimp my school shoes” trend has left Mzansi in stitches.

Ama2000 are taking it to another level and Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is worried.

In the trend, school shoes have all sorts of things on them – from a toothbrush to a small paper with a “send nudes” note on it.

“I thought we were slick back in high school when we had pins on our school shoes, but it turns out that we were playing. We have nothing on ma2000,” said Agnes Hlatshwayo.

Menzi Magwaza said his little brother pimped his school shoes exactly like this a few weeks ago and put a pencil on the side.

“Mum made him remove that but a week later, he’s doing the same thing. This time with a cigarette which he claims he doesn’t smoke,” said Menzi.

Kuzondlula Mthethwa said ma2000 keep getting worse each day.

“The Department of Education really has its hands full. They’re always dealing with nonsense. It’s tiring,” said Kuzondlula.
