NHLANHLA Lux Dlamini has sent a stern warning to drug dealers.

Lux said they are not scared of drug dealers.

Speaking at the drug awareness held at Leondale Secondary School on Thursday, 20 April, Lux said the pupils are the future leaders who need to be protected against drugs.

He urged pupils at Leondale Secondary school to get a database of those who sell drug in the community and send it to him.

“I know there are those who are selling drugs who are here to listen what are we saying about drugs. We will deal with those people even if we have to fight with our last breath we will,” Lux said.

He urged pupils to rise up and told their parents that South Africa is going to rise through them.

He said World Changers Candidates ambassador Katlego Mabena and President of Ekurhuleni Parliament, social and drug activist, Nceba Ngwenya need to be guarded in order to reach their destination.

“These young people have great futures ahead of them. I urged elderly people to support them as the road ahead of them will be not easy,” he said.

Last year, on 20 April, Leondale Secondary School made headlines when a video showing pupils smoking dagger went viral.

The school was dubbed Dagga School, due to the video of the learners in school uniform throwing a Dagga Party and smoking within the school premises, which resulted in 37 learners being suspended following much deliberation by the Gauteng Department of Education.

World Changers Candidate ambassador Katlego Mabena and President of Ekurhuleni Parliament, social and drug activist, Nceba Ngwenya read a pledge which stated that "NO DRUGS in any form under any circumstances are allowed in our School premises.

Grade 12 pupil Siphokazi Banda said what happened in 2022 will never happened.

“We as the pupils are changing the image of the school by say no to drugs and dagga. We will be working hard to put our school in the map for doing good things,” she said.
