A 45-YEAR-OLD Mbombela High Court state advocate has been charged with rape.
The incident allegedly occurred on Saturday night, 4 November, at Hillsview outside White River in Mpumalanga.
It's alleged that the 28-year-old victim was walking home when the advocate offered him a lift and later raped him.
Mpumalanga police spokesman Colonel Donald Mdluli confirmed that a case of rape was opened with the White River police and that the suspect was arrested on Sunday, 5 November.

"Investigation was conducted, and the suspect was duly arrested," Mdluli said.
The suspect will appear in the White River Magistrates Court on Monday, 6 November.
