FIVE armed suspects were killed during an attempted cash-in-transit heist in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga on Wednesday, 3 April.
According to Mpumalanga police spokesman Colonel Donald Mdluli, the armed men were travelling in a Toyota Quantum, targeting a cash van.

Police from Mpumalanga and Gauteng received information and cornered the suspects and when they realised that cops were already there, they fired shots and police responded by shooting back.
"Five of the suspects were fatally shot and six suspects were arrested. A lot of firearms and ammunition was recovered, including three AK47s," said Mdluli.
