THE mother of a four-year-old Langa boy who was burnt with hot water for allegedly playing with a neighbour's gate is demanding answers.
The 39-year-old mum said her son was burnt on 24 June by a neighbour (20) after she accused the little boy of playing in her yard and swinging on her gate.
She said she found her son burnt when she returned from work. Her sister, who was home, told her that the boy came home with his friends crying and he had burn injuries on his face, hands and upper body.

The little boy told his aunt what happened and she went to the neighbour's house, who allegedly told the aunt that the boys were "trespassing and ruining my gate".
The boy was rushed to hospital where he was treated, and even though he is recovering, the mum still doesn't understand why he was burnt.
The mum said:
Apart from the pain she went through, the mum is angry that cops allegedly took long to arrest the suspect.
"She admitted in front of them, but they didn't arrest her. They only did that after I wrote about the incident on Facebook. I'm so hurt by how cops treated this matter," she said.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said an assault case was registered at Langa cop shop for investigation, and the neighbour was arrested and has since appeared in court.
Earlier this month, several people protested when the woman appeared in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates Court, where she applied for bail, which was denied. The matter was postponed to 20 September.
