ZULU king Misuzulu kaZwelithini received an increase for the Zulu royal household annual budget of about R80 million.
The increase is for traditional and cultural celebrations of the Zulu monarch, such as the popular Reed Dance festival.
In 2022, the king received R66,074 million after the annual budget for 2021 was frozen due to the throne dispute between him and his half-brother, Prince Simakade.

But it was released last year when President Cyril Ramaphosa finally recognised Misuzulu as the official Zulu king.
This year, KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube announced that she had allocated R79,565 million to the Zulu Royal House.
She made the announcement during her budget presentation at the KZN legislature on Tuesday, 18 April.
Ncube said: "The royal household receives R 79,565 million. The premier's office supports the Royal Household Trust with funds being transferred accordingly.

She said they will continue to support the Zulu Royal Household Trust, the Zulu Royal Household, and His Majesty king Misuzulu kaZwelithini, who is a critical pillar of "our culture, heritage, and for the preservation of values in the KZN province".
“In terms of revenue (1,526 million), it mainly comprises of commission on Persal deductions such as insurance premiums, garnishee orders and tender fees” said the premier.
King Misuzulu is expected to host Umkhosi Wesivivane in August 2023 at the Kwakhangelamankengane royal place, The aim is to teach women all about management and different skills.
The king also will also host the popular Reed Dance Festival in September at the Enyokeni Royal Palace in Nongoma to encourage young women to preserve their virginity until marriage.
He will also host the Umkhosi WeLembe ceremony in KZN in September to commemorate the founder of the Zulu nation, King Shaka.
King Misuzulu and the Zulu royal house are still expected to announce the new spokesperson after Prince Thulani resigned in December 2022.
