HER kidnappers left her in a flat to go buy food. But they left her cellphone on the table and forgot to lock the door.

So the 15-year-old girl, who was about to be trafficked, escaped.

She then contacted her mother who asked for her location and she was saved by her uncle.

The girl, who is a virgin, was kidnapped by two men in the street in KwaThema on 22 August on her way to visit a friend.

She was taken to a room in a block of flats in Hillbrow, Joburg, where her cellphone was taken and sim card removed.

She saw the kidnappers hide the sim card under a couch cushion.

The girl said her kidnappers gave her water to drink, but it was drugged.

She woke up the next day.

The two men ordered her to undress and fondled her punani to check if she was still a virgin.

The girl’s mother told Daily Sun that she did not sleep on the day her daughter was kidnapped.

“I was praying hard for my daughter’s safe return. Indeed, God heard me. I could not believe it when I heard my daughter’s voice the following day asking for help.

“I knew at that moment God is power,” said the mother.

She said she asked her daughter to send her the location of her whereabouts for her uncle, who works in Joburg, to fetch her.

“I also thank God for fooling the kidnappers and opening her eyes to see where her kidnappers were hiding her SIM card,” she said.

A case of kidnapping was opened at KwaThema Police Station.

Constable Nkululeko Magudulela said no one has been arrested, however, investigations continue.
