FANA needs help to find his wife and while doing this, Mzansi has been accusing him of being behind his wife’s disappearance.

He told Daily Sun that he’s hurt by how people quickly jump to conclusions.

The 35-year-old Fana Selane from Tshwane said his wife went missing on 1 September after an argument about her health.

He said his wife, Tumi Selane (35), has health problems.

He said Tumi also stopped taking her medication because she said they weren’t good for her, instead, she’d drink more claiming booze suppressed the pain.

“Me and some of family members suggested that we go to see another doctor for a second opinion but she didn’t want that,” he said.

Fana said that’s what they were arguing about.

He wanted to take her to a doctor but she wanted to go buy wine instead and head to a rehab.

“As we were arguing, I locked the door to stop her from going to the liquor store but she threatened to scream and accused me of being abusive so I opened the door,” he said.

He said they live 10 minutes away from the shops so he started getting worried when his wife didn’t come back from the shops.

“I went to look for her, asked around but I couldn’t find her. She went to the liquor store but left and didn’t come back home,” he said.

He went to Twitter to alert people about his missing wife.

Instead of getting help, people accused him of killing his wife and reporting her missing.

“People started telling me how calm I was for a person who’s wife has just gone missing and I just couldn’t understand where all this was coming from,” he said.

“To say I’m hurt would be an understatement,” he added.

He said people are just being reckless with their mouths and they have no idea when their struggle started.

“I’ve been with this woman since 2012 and I can’t see my life without her so people suggesting that I had something to do with her disappearance is really sad,” said Fana.

He also said that they have three beautiful children who still need their mother.

Fana said the police have been helpful in looking for Tumi.

He said he was wearing grey trackpants, a blue jersey, and cream white sleepers.

“The purpose of me posting my wife is to get help. I’m disappointed by how people have treated me but I hope I can still get assistance from the few people who’ve responded positively to my tweet,” said Fana.

Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that a missing person’s case was opened.
