UP-AND-COMING soccer stars from Ekurhuleni are set to reach their goals.
This is all thanks to the partnership between Jomo Cosmos and Jobe Foundation.
On Thursday, 28 September, the latter announced a partnership at Southern Sun Hotel in Sandton.
Cosmos and the foundation have joined forces to help the youth to be developed and nurtured under the watchful eyes of Dr Sono.
The foundation, which is based in Duduza, will have some of their players playing in the local tournaments to be given opportunities to trial at Cosmos.
The head of project at the foundation, Sello Nkopane, said Duduza and other townships in Ekurhuleni have talented stars who need to be discovered.

“Dr Sono has discovered a lot of players who turned into professionals who became Bafana Bafana stars and others played in the PSL.
“We want to see this partnership create a platform for these youngsters to realise their dreams of playing in the elite league,” said Nkopane.
Dr Sono said it’s encouraging to see black-owned foundations team up with their team.
“We have played friendly games with some teams from Duduza and there are a lot of players who need to be groomed.
“Two players have been identified already and we are going to give them an opportunity to train with the team,” he said.
Dr Sono said they plan to establish the Duduza Jomo Cosmos team in amateur leagues and to establish the Jobe Jomo Cosmos Academy.
