THEY wanted to make sure that she was dead.
The merciless killers shot her several times even when she was lying on the ground.
They then sped off in a white VW Jetta, leaving businesswoman Nelisiwe Sithole (47) in a pool of blood.
Police were called.
Sergeant Moss Maluleke said cops found about 20 cartridges lying next to Nelisiwe’s body.
Now her family from Ratanda in Heidelberg is living in fear.
Suspects, believed to be izinkabi (hitmen), followed her to her home last Wednesday night, 14 September and just after entering the remote controlled gate, the killers pushed their way in and started shooting.
According to witnesses, Nelisiwe was chased by killers around her yard as they were shooting at her.

Sithole’s mother, Zodwa Mtshali, said her daughter was like a husband to her.
‘She was my pillar. She was like a husband to me, taking care of everything. I’m so broken because those killers took what held my life together. Nelisiwe was a hard worker and a breadwinner,’”
The hitmen also injured her driver and he was rushed to hospital. The suspects then left without taking anything. Cops are now looking for the suspects.
Sergeant Maluleke said police received a complaint of a shooting in Ext 23 Ratanda.
‘Upon their arrival they found emergency services busy giving medical attention Nelisiwe and her driver.”

“It’s alleged a white VW Jetta with unknown registration number entered the yard and occupants started to shoot at deceased’s vehicle and she tried to run around the house but unfortunately, bullets were coming all sides and the driver also sustained six gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital
Police also found 16 firearm cartridges in the yard
Murder and attempted murder cases were opened at Ratanda Police Station, and investigations are underway
