IFP PRESIDENT, Velenkosini Hlabisa asked South Africans to trust them as the party will put them first.

Hlabisa was speaking at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, 10 March where he delivered the party's manifesto. This was the party's first manifesto launch since the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's passing.

Hlabisa said 2024 elections is wafa wafa.

He said these elections are like the 1994 elections where people spent two days waiting in lines to vote. He said the IFP is not coming to create false hope and make empty promises.

He said IFP speaks to the truth.

"Today we come and we are game changers and history makers. Our manifesto is what our people need. IFP comes with honest truth and gives you hope. Our manifesto carries a message of hope. It contains solutions and practical approach. It gives reason why you must vote and vote for the IFP," he said.

He said their manifesto is a results of the intensive campaigning of listening to people.

"Every policy we put forward has been carefully designed to fix problems. IFP is unique and we are not held at ransom to please ideologies that have no place in a democratic South Africa," he said.

He said IFP recognised 13 fundamental point plan which will be a package of solutions and programmes of action to turn things around.

On the list of the plan, Hlabisa said voters should trust them to rebuild the economy by ending load shedding through a mixed diversified energy system.

"We will put South Africans first by reserving job opportunities and the small enterprise market for South Africans while enforcing a set 80/20 employment target for South Africans in all companies.

"Trust us to improve healthcare facilities. We will increase grants. IFP will roll out free basic education. We will roll out unemployed graduates grant of R3 000 for a fixed period until they find employment," he said.

He said they will work with communities to end crime by working closely with Community Policing Forums.
