HUSBAND and wife Sibusiso (33) and Lerato Mahlangu (32) will appear in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court in Tshwane on Thursday, 2 November.

The pair linked to the death of Lerato's former lover, Sibusiso Sithebe, face charges of premeditated murder, obstruction of justice, and fraud.

The couple was arrested in April 2023 after the husband was found in possession of a stolen car in Hammanskraal, Tshwane.

In their last court appearance, the case was postponed to Wednesday, 29 November, for a High Court date.

The court also heard that Lerato intended to make a U-turn on her previous decision to abandon her bail application.

Her lawyer said his client will make the application, which will be heard on Thursday, 2 November.

Initially, the couple had abandoned their bail application, fearing for their lives after community members were baying for their blood.
