AFTER years without electricity, residents of Gugulethu Section in Ledig Village outside Rustenburg have recently received electricity, and work to switch on the power is underway. 

The installation of electricity on the more than 1 000 homes in the North West area comes after a private company threatened evictions and to demolish the houses. 

The land had allegedly been reserved for development.
