Gogo found murdered!

accreditation

EASTERN Cape detectives have launched a manhunt after a 78-year-old gogo’s body was found by her family on Sunday, 29 May, in KwaTshweni Location, Dutywa.

According to Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, it is alleged that the family left her alone on Friday to go for a family gathering at another location.

“She was last seen by neighbours on Saturday afternoon, collecting sheep from the nearby grazing field.

“On Sunday at about 5.30pm, the family arrived and discovered her body lying on the mattress. They immediately alerted the police,” Kinana said.

He said the dead had sustained serious injuries on the upper body.

“It has not yet been established what type of instrument was used to commit this serious crime.

“A case of murder is under investigation and no arrests have been made yet.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident form part of the investigation,” said Kinana.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Sergeant Malwande Mhlanga of Dutywa police on 079 624 0946 or alternatively CrimeStop on 08600 10111.
