THE families of Serongwane and Mbulawa have expressed their gratitude to everyone who's rallied behind them and given them support in their difficult times.
This after the police managed to apprehend the suspect in the murder case of four-year-old Keeya Mbulawa, who was kidnapped and stuffed in a suitcase with her hands tied and a sock in her mouth in January 2023.
The family spokesman, Advocate Miller Moela told the Daily Sun the families are forever indebted to the Protea residents who didn't only stand by the family but also played a role in the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect was arrested in Protea Glen on Wednesday, 28 February 2024.
“The families would also like to thank all for their prayers and messages of support. A particular word of thanks goes to the family church, the Apostolic Faith Mission under the stewardship of Rev Frank Chikane. Their prayers and words of support lifted and sustained the family.

“They would also like to express gratitude to the police. Their dedication was demonstrated from the very beginning. The families were kept regularly updated about the process of investigation. The families were assured that no stone was going to be left unturned in finding justice for little Keeya,” Moela said.
He said the storm was not yet over as it was the families' belief that the prosecution would do all in its powers to get justice for little Keeya and her family
