THE biological father of a 24-year-old woman who allegedly raped her for 18 years appeared in the Springs Regional Court to apply for bail on Monday, 27 November.

The 58-year-old's application was postponed to 29 November to give his attorney a chance to study the affidavit presented by the prosecutor in opposing his bail.

The father from KwaThema was remanded in custody. Outside the court residents, who came to support the victim, were pleading for the court not to grant the father a bail.
