PEER pressure and the festive season hype couldn't stop these street hustlers from trying to cash in on dirty vehicles.
With names like Ema-Bucketeng, Titanic, Busy Corner and Kasi Car Wash, the unemployed youth can attract customers and put bread on the table for their families.

Linda “Small” Khubeka from Braamfischervile Phase2 in Soweto told SNL24 that he would only rest on New Year’s Day. "There is no time to rest. I’m self-employed and I need to collect every coin I can," said Linda.

Thethani “Titanic” Komvi from Titanic Car Wash in Dobsonville, Soweto echoed Linda’s sentiments, saying that festive season activities are a waste of time and money.
"I’ll work if a vehicle needs to be washed," said Thethani.
The hustlers have one thing in common - the drive to phanda, phusha and wash cars to survive.
