FOUR women accused of killing Prince Lethukuthula Zulu will know their fate on 30 August 2023.
Judge Molebuheng Mdalana-Mayisela will hand down judgment against the four women.
The accused, Tshegofatso Moremane, Gontse Tlhoele, Margaret Koaile and Portia Mmola, are facing charges of murder, theft and possession of drugs.
They appeared in the South Gauteng High Court on Friday, 2 June, and their case was postponed for judgment.
In his closing address, state prosecutor Advocate Sifiso Khumalo said the four accused planned to drug and steal from the late prince and his friend, Nksosi Msimang.
Khumalo said one of the accused, Koaile (42), told the court that their strategy was to hunt men, spike their drinks and steal their stuff.
The state prosecutor added that Koalie said they went to taverns armed with eyedrops, looking for horny men on the hunt for women.
“But before they spiked their drinks, they made sure the victims took them to their home, and the one who would sleep with him would spike their drink.
“Their victims would then fall into a deep sleep, giving them time to steal their belongings.
“The same modus operandi was used on Lethukuthula and Msimang,” Khumalo said.

He said the accused stated in her statement before the court that they had been doing this for the past four years.
Advocate Sharon Johnson, who represented accused number one Moremane, said she didn't have drugs and she only knew accused number two, Tlhoele, before the incident.
“Accused number one didn't know accused three and four before.
"I would then believe that she has not been part of such a crime as stated by Advocate Khumalo that the four accused have been doing this in the past years.
"The evidence brought to this court by one of the suspects should not be accounted to all four accused,” Johnson said.
Advocate Ike Soko, who represented accused number two, Tlhoele, said there is no way his client could have known about drugs and what happened to the deceased when he was with accused number one, Tshegofatso, in the bedroom.
“Tlhoele was sitting in the dining room and didn’t even see the deceased's condition.
“She only took the soap and toilet paper at the house,” Soko said.
Advocate Pheane Lebea, who represented accused three Koaile and accused four, Mmola, said the key witness lacked credibility.
He said Msimang was adamant that he had intimacy with accused number two.
“The next day, Msimang testified in court that he made a mistake that it was not accused number two but accused number four.
“He said he verified the accused through the internet. This makes him an unreliable witness," Lebea said.
