THE famous Bloemfontein businessman and former Centlec CEO, Andries Mgoqi (52), has been killed.
He was brutally murdered in front of his well-known tavern at Bergman in Bloemfontein, Free State on Friday, 16 February.
The shocking video of Mgoqi having a conversation with someone outside his tavern, where an unknown gunman came and shot him several times in the head, went viral on social media.
He was talking to a friend outside his tavern when an unknown man, pretending to pass, pulled out a firearm and shot him.
Centlec spokesman Lele Mamatu told Daily Sun the man was a great leader during his time at Centlec.
"Mgoqi is one of the most brilliant officials we have ever hired. He was so professional. We were shocked by his brutal death. We saw the video where a young man shot and killed him instantly. We wish to pass our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, former colleagues and the whole community of Mangaung," he said.

Kareli confirmed a murder case has been registered at the Bloemspruit cop shop.
"We've launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrator," he said.
