MADALA is scared that his seven-roomed house will collapse on him anytime.
And he blames the City of Tshwane for the matter.
Madala Sam Mthombeni (73) from Soshanguve in Tshwane said the problem started when the municipal workers dug a big trench at the back of his house in 2020 until 2021 to put sewage pipes.
He said the municipality dug almost six metres down and it was scary.
"My house was left hanging in the air for many months, and I was scared that during rainy seasons it would collapse," he said.
Sam said he didn't like what the city was doing in his home.
The worried madala said he had been living in his house for 47 years.
"My house was left hanging and I'm scared that it will collapse while I'm in it," he said.
The father of seven children said the municipality must fix the problem they caused underneath his house because it's no longer strong.

Madala Sam said he reported the matter to the city and even told the officials that he wanted to meet the mayor so he could explain the problem to him.
"I want to meet Mayor Cilliers Brink so that he can listen to my problems because I'm living in fear," he said.
The madala said that what the municipality did was just like shooting him with a bullet.
City of Tshwane spokesman Lindela Mashigo said the city is aware of the incident and is continuously engaging with the homeowner in this regard.
“During the replacement of the sewer project, a trench collapsed, damaging a section of the homeowner's wall and foundation. After various meetings with the homeowner, an agreement was reached by all parties to redo the foundation and rebuild the wall.
"This remedial work was successfully completed with one snag item remaining. There are minor cracks in the newly laid concrete floor that need to be sealed. Unfortunately, after various meetings with the homeowner, permission has not yet been granted for the contractor of the municipality to seal the cracks," said Mashigo.
