EKURHULENI cops have bust suspects who were terrorizing the community of Etwatwa in Daveyton.
The suspects were allegedly causing havoc in the area but on Tuesday, 25 July, cops swoop on them.
According to Captain Neldah Sekgobela, members of the Ekurhuleni Central Crime Intelligence received information regarding the suspects who are in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and are terrorizing the community with business and house robberies.
She said the addresses of the suspects were identified and an operation plan was set in place.
Sekgobela said an intelligence-driven operation was conducted together with members of the Ekurhuleni District Trio Task Team, EMPD Bombers Special Ops, and other Law enforcement agencies.
“Three suspects were arrested, and three unlicensed firearms and ammunition were seized from the suspects' possessions," she said.

Sekgobela said the suspects are aged 23, 24 and 36.
She said in another separate incident on Monday, 24 July, cops received a tip-off regarding a suspect involved in house robberies around Benoni, Kempton Park, and Pretoria.
The information was liaised with members of the Benoni Flying Squad and the Ekurhuleni North base camp.
She said the suspect was found at his girlfriend's address in Umfuyaneni Section, Tembisa South, in possession of a clock pistol, 2 Magazines, and 29 live ammunitions.
Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole applauded the members for ensuring that unlicensed firearms are removed from the streets of Ekurhuleni District and the suspects' arrested.
