Likhona Rhiti is missing.

THE Rhiti family needs help to find their missing daughter, Likhona.

The 16-year-old from Greenfield in Eden Park, Ekurhuleni went missing on Monday, 2 October.

Police spokeswoman Captain Neldah Sekgobela said Likhona told her aunt, Sibongile Kabingca that she was going to fix her damaged cellphone.

Sekgobela said the aunt believed her and allowed her to go.

“Likhona never came back, and the complainant Sibongile was not stressed because Likhona had previously left home for two days without saying where she was going.

“Sibongile checked her after three days on Facebook and saw she was online, but ignored her messages,” said Sekgobela.

She said the aunt became worried when Likhona had not returned home days later.

“She went to look for Likhona at a friend's house who lives in the same street. The friend told her she last saw Likhona on 2 October. She provided Sibongile with the boyfriend's number, who lives in Hilbrow, Joburg.

“She phoned the boyfriend and he confirmed Likhona was at his place to fix the phone and then left,” she said.

Sekgobela said Likhona was last seen wearing a grey gown, white T-shirt and navy slippers.

She said anyone with information about Likhona's whereabouts should call Eden Park Police Station on 011 960 0064.
