Salome Humphrey is missing.

SHE sent her husband a message on his phone telling him to take care of their two children.

But she didn't explain why and when her husband called her, her phone was off.

Salome Humphrey (40) has been missing since, leaving her husband Prince shattered.

He said he doesn't know why his wife acted the way she did.

"If only I can find her, I'd be relieved. I can't sleep at night," he said.

Salome went missing from her house in Birchleigh North, Ekurhuleni at about 11am on Monday, 23 October.

Prince said he received a message that he must take care of their two kids, adding that he discovered that only her cellphone was missing from the house.

"I tried calling her even on Thursday, 26 October, but her phone was off. I'm so depressed," he said.

There's no information on what Salome was wearing on the day she disappeared as her husband was at work at the time. Her family from Polokwane in Limpopo also don't know where she is.

Prince said his wife did not use her company car that day. He said she works as a stock buyer for her company, which is in Tshwane.

"She left mysteriously, and we don't know whether she's still alive or not. I could see she was depressed when I left in the morning, but never thought she would take such a decision," he said.

According to police spokeswoman Captain Nelda Sekgobela, a missing persons case was opened.

"Anyone who knows Salome's whereabouts should call the cops at Norkem Park Police Station on 011 960 0348/9 or 071 675 6807," she said.
