ACCORDING to the EFF leader Julius Malema, he had organised 100 cows to be slaughtered for the party's 10th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, 29 July, at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.
But when everyone was having a joyous and momentous time, the leadership forgot that they needed to feed the thousands of its members who came to attend the anniversary.
Food was set to be served to everyone in an orderly manner but all that turned into chaos when hours went by with no food in sight.
The celebration attendees took matters into their own hands by looting the food trucks.
In the trucks, they found boxes of sanitary pads, oranges and packaged meals consisting of half-cooked rice and beef stew.

Speaking to one of the members he said: “We have been standing in the sun for hours. The least they could do was to give us some food after all this time, and right now we are going home hungry.”
Gogos and people living with disabilities were also left wondering when they would get a chance to get something to eat.
The hunger got to a point where a group of about 30 people fought fight over a sack of oranges.
Daily Sun wrote to and called the EFF trying to get a comment. An EFF official who identified himself as "Thami" referred the SunTeam to Sinawo Tambo, who declined to respond to Daily Sun's questions.
