THE EFF painted Mpumalanga red on Saturday, 9 March as the party launched its provincial manifesto.
The red berets gathered at Kanyamazane Stadium in Mpumalanga, where they were addressed by party leader, Julius Malema.
He told members that it was time for them to address the enemy and not be afraid.
Malema said: “Door-to-door, let’s go and confront the enemy! Let’s go and claim the victory of the EFF! Fighters, ground forces, the time is now. Don’t be scared of them, don’t get tired, don’t be discouraged.”
He said from here they are marching to the Union Buildings in Tshwane. He further encouraged EFF members to fight crime in the province.
“Comrades, we must fight crime. There is too much crime here in South Africa, especially here in Mpumalanga. Till today, the killers of Hillary Gardee, the daughter of our secretary general – till today, those people have never been found,” he said.

Malema also promised that under the EFF government all will be given equal opportunities to work, even those living with disabilities.
He said there are many disabled people who are able, who can read and who can write. “The fact that he is sitting on a wheelchair doesn’t mean you must write them off. Give them an opportunity, you will see what they will show you.
“Under the EFF government, there will not be a single disabled person without a house,” he said.
Malema told the fighters that they will expropriate land in Mpumalanga and will also rename the Kruger National Park.
“We are in a struggle for land. We want land in Mpumalanga. We want land not in the rural areas. We want land next to the suburbs, next to town,” he said.
“Comrades, when we go to war, we must be guided by our demand for land and jobs now and we must be guided by our demand, an urgent demand to stop load shedding.”
