ACTIONSA has once again snatched a former disgruntled member of the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Herman Mashaba, the party's president, on Thursday morning, 7 December welcomed former DA MP and shadow minister of sport, arts and culture, Tsepo Mhlongo.
Mhlongo said he was joining ActionSA as a full member because he wanted to finish the job he started 25 years ago when he entered politics.
Mashaba said they were proud to welcome Mhlongo, who has dedicated his life to politics.
"We are very happy to have him as a full member who will assist us in our project as ActionSA to shape South Africa," he said.
Another ActionSA member, Sarah Wissler who is the City of Joburg councillor, said she was also looking forward to working with Mhlongo again.
"I worked with him when we were both in the DA. He's an ethical leader. He's a strong person on the ground and he works very hard. I am very happy to have him at ActionSA," she said.
On his departure from the DA, Mhlongo turned the tables and accused DA leader John Steenhuisen of corruption.
In a letter, Mhlongo said: "I personally did not cook the books. However, the truth will come out in due course.
"Not all animals are equal in the DA, reminiscent of the dynamics in Animal Farm. This is especially true of the black leaders within the structures," he said.

He alleged that party funds were used to finance Steenhuisen’s election campaign and is calling on DA chairwoman Helen Zille, Steenhuisen and former DA regional leader in Gauteng, Manny De Freitas, to publicly deny this and he will also be happy to share his information on the matter, which is at the core of his expulsion.
DA subsequently denied the allegations.
Mhlongo was expelled from the DA after the party found him guilty of allegedly plotting to defraud the party's electoral systems before the 2024 national and provincial elections.
