POLICE are appealing to members of the public to help trace the family of a dead man.
The man, whose name residents have claimed is Siyabonga, was found with a bullet hole in the back of his head.
His body was found near the railway line in Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni.
Residents living nearby said they heard gunshot go off on Saturday night, 30 December.

"We were alerted by a passerby who saw the body," said a resident.
Captain Nelda Sekgobela of Ekurhuleni district police said the victim has not been identified.
"We appeal to anyone who has lost a loved one to come forward," she said, adding that the body has been taken to the government mortuary in Springs.
