She said cops and other law enforcement agencies were assembled by the station commander of Katlehong North Police Station, Colonel Nomthandazo Gumbi, to ensure they tracked down the suspect.

She said the suspect was arrested and found in possession of a black BMW, which was hijacked in Rabie Ridge in February.

“On further investigation, it was also established that the suspect was also wanted on a hijacking and kidnapping case that happened in Dawn Park, Ekurhuleni, in February,” said Sekgobela.

Sekgobela said Colonel Gumbi thanked community members for bringing the information to her attention and for the swift response by the law enforcement agency.
