It’s a festival of lights on the streets of the City of Gold as we usher in the Christmas holidays.
Grand, giant and splendid Christmas light displays are on show across the city. Wander through the streets of Melrose Arch or Gauteng's Tuscan village, Montecasino and you'll be in for a treat.
The SNL24 lensman captured the explosion of lights across the city that will put you in the spirit for a joyous celebration - whether you're a family or going solo, there's certainly something for everyone!

Visitors to Melrose Arch can enjoy more than just the splendid lights display from 8 to 31 December. Stalls selling a selection of snacks, sweet treats, and drinks line High Street to make the experience of strolling through the Christmas lights even more splendid. From 6:30pm to 10pm every day, candyfloss, popcorn, sweets, cold drinks, ice cream, and doughnuts will be available to purchase. Photo by Trevor Kunene
