"I WONDER if my baby is still alive, if he's still eating or if his nappy has been changed."
These were the words of Zinhle Mdletshe, whose two-month-old baby boy, Lwazi, was abducted from their home on 11 March.
The 30-year-old mother from Welbedacht area in Chatsworth, Durban, said she has been battling to sleep or eat since her baby was abducted.
She told Daily Sun she thought she would be reunited with her baby by now, but he hasn't been found yet.
"I don't think I'll ever be normal until I find him. This incident has changed everything for the worst," she said.
Baby Lwazi was taken by two unknown armed men who stormed into their home at about 2am.
"I heard a loud knock on the door but decided to ignore it. When the banging got louder and the men threatened to kick down the door, my brother, Johnny (32), opened it," she said.

The men claimed Zinhle's cousin had stolen their booze at a local tavern and demanded to be paid for it.
"I told them we had nothing to do with drunken wars and asked why they hadn't gone to report my nephew to his mother.
"They claimed they had already visited my sister and she told them my nephew was with me," she said.
Zinhle said the men refused to reason with her and her brother and after searching the house, they took her baby and cellphone, but left other valuable items.
"My life is a total mess right now. I'm not functioning well since my baby was kidnapped. I cry when I have to eat, thinking if my baby has eaten. I can't sleep properly because I'm always thinking about him. All I pray for is that those people who kidnapped him bring back alive and well," she said.
She said the men who took her baby have not contacted them for a ransom and are untraceable.
"I can't even go to a sangoma to find out about my baby because I can't afford it. If I had money I would have already consulted a sangoma and there would be a way forward.
"My prayer is for my son to return home. I don't know how I will feel if he were to be killed. I don't even want to imagine that he is dead. I plead with those men to bring him back home," said Zinhle.
KZN police spokesman Robert Netshiunda said cops are still looking for the baby.
