THE murder trial of two sisters and their accomplices has been postponed to Wednesday, 24 July.
This is after the defence lawyers of the accused requested time to consult with their clients.
Nonhlanhla (33) and Bathabile Mthunywa (41) as well as Ntombizodwa Ndwandwa (43) and Steen Mashikeng (41) made a brief appearance in the Mbombela High Court on Monday, 22 January.
They are facing charges of rape, murder, conspiracy to commit, attempted murder, kidnapping, fraud and defeating the ends of justice.

It is alleged that in January 2020 Nonhlanhla, who is Bathabile's sister, invited her mother, Wanter Dlamini (62) to her house and conspired to kill her with the aim of claiming an R80 000 insurance policy that was taken in Dlamini's name in 2019.
It is alleged that Ndwandwa, Mashikeng and Moses Mosemba (41), who has since died, allegedly assaulted and kidnapped her.
Mashikeng and Ndwandwa allegedly gang-raped Dlamini while Nonhlanhla and Ndwandwa allegedly held her down. Dlamini was later killed, and her body was allegedly disposed by Bathabile and was found dumped in the bushes a few days later.
