MPUMALANGA cops have launched a manhunt for the killers of famous businessman Dyke Moyeni (60).
Dyke, who was also the Bushbuckridge Municipality project management unit officer, was shot dead in a hail of bullets at his homestead in Mkhuhlu, Hazyview by an unknown gunmen on Thursday, 7 December.
His brother, Pieters Sithole (69), said Dyke had just come out of his home from seeing his wife, Ntombizodwa Moyeni (57).
The attackers are said to have allegedly ambushed him while in his Toyota Hilux bakkie before pumping bullets into him, killing him instantly.
"He had just walked out of his house with his domestic worker, who had just knocked off from her duties. The worker was rushing to get a taxi home. When she heard gunshots, she looked back and couldn't believe her eyes seeing Dyke lying on the ground close to his Toyota Hilux bakkie, in a pool of blood, with his car keys next to him. Hearing the gunshots, his family quickly locked themselves inside the house and alerted the police," he said.
Pieters said after receiving a call from Dyke's family saying he had been shot, he then rushed to the scene.
