GOOD Samaritan Blessing Seshoka (19) is a true blessing to society – and he proved that by not taking what didn’t belong to him.
Blessing from Lithuli 9L outside Polokwane in Limpopo picked up a Huawei Y5 Lite cellphone at a bus stop on Saturday, 17 September but didn’t even think of keeping it for himself.
He said he held on to the phone hoping the owner would call so he could return it.
Blessing told Daily Sun his conscience didn’t allow him to keep the phone even though his own phone didn’t work properly.
Blessing kept the phone on for two days.
When the owner didn’t call, he posted on Facebook.
The owner, Junior Adams (18), called and they met on Monday.

Blessing was accompanied by his aunt Rabi Sathekge (45) to hand over the phone.
Rabi said they asked Junior to unlock the phone to make sure he was the owner.
“He did everything right and the photos in the phone were his,” said Rabi.
Junior was over the moon to get his phone back.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw Blessing’s post. The phone helps me do my school work as well as communicating with my parents.
“The country needs more people like Blessing,” he said.
