Daily Sun published the article under the headline PAC: IEC SABOTAGED US! on 17 March 2024.

In the article, written by Mfundekelwa Mkhulisi, it was stated that the PAC failed to meet the electoral commission (IEC) requirements to stand on its own. It also stated that the PAC NEC has as a result decided to run for elections under the banner of another political party, Al Jama-ah.

In the article it is stated that Narius Moloto is the PAC president. The article further mentioned that "another PAC faction, led by Mzwanele Nyhontso, held its 2024 election manifesto at Orlando Hall in Soweto on 2 March". The article is factually incorrect as Nyhontso was elected as the president of the PAC at the Seshego Congress in 2022.

We apologise to Nyhontso and the PAC for the factual inaccuracies and retract the article. It has been removed online. The PAC is in fact registered with the IEC and will participate under its banner in the upcoming elections.
