AMABUTHO have vowed to continue supporting King Misuzulu kaZwelithini during the succession battle for the Zulu throne.

This show of support was on full display as they danced, chanted, and sang outside the Pretoria North Gauteng High Court in Tshwane on Tuesday, 17 October, while court proceedings were underway.

The court case revolves around the dispute involving King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, Prince Simakade, and Prince Mbonisi Zulu, who advocate for Prince Buzabazi to ascend to the throne.

King Misuzulu's spokesman, His Royal Highness Prince Africa Zulu, addressed Amabutho and maidens gathered outside the court.

According to Prince Africa Zulu, there is nothing that has changed and they are still victorious.

He demanded Amabutho go eat so that when the good news land tomorrow, everyone will be full and strong.

"It's been a long journey of challenges to the King. There is nothing new. However, we will emerge victorious as will always do," he said.

Prince Vanana Zulu shared the same sentiments and said King Misuzulu kaZwelithini is the sole and highest ruler.

"We are here to support our king as he is the only highest king we have," he said.

He said they would be with the king until the case was concluded and they have assurance that they will come out victorious at the end because of the weakness of the case against their king.

The Amabutho leader also expressed positivity, believing that the court will bring an end to the long-standing succession battle for the Zulu throne.

Amabutho and the Zulu nation are hopeful that the court's ruling will bring resolution to this historic dispute.
