THE leader and founder of African Economic Freedom (AEF), Sifiso Mthethwa, is not a happy man.
He said the ANC and EFF sleep in the same bed and that's why he left the two parties.
Mthethwa, who is originally from KZN, said he founded his party in KZN in February 2023 and launched it in the province on 6 August 2023.
He said his party is an organisation for the hopeless. The leader said they were only given political freedom and not economic freedom in 1994.
"The money we have as a country goes to the leaders of the ANC. We are suffering economically as Africans," he said.
Mthethwa said he's a pan-Africanist. He said his party will ensure that South Africa's economy is controlled by locals, should they win the 2024 elections.
"As a young man, I was always a member of the ANC. The ANC failed to implement the Freedom Charter. I joined the EFF in 2016. The leader of the EFF, Julius Malema, was very vocal when it came to the economy and land," he said.
He said he had given the ANC a chance for 29 years, but the ANC was doing nothing, South Africa was bankrupt, had no jobs and load shedding is a big problem.

"I love the ANC and all other political parties, but the ANC is failing to implement resolutions. The current ANC leaders are against the ANC.” he said.
Mthethwa said the ANC should have given the land back to black people in 1994.
The EFF will take the land and give it back to the rightful owners.
"In the metros, people in the cities are favoured and neglected in the villages. Service delivery is bad, and people still use pit toilets. We are there for the poor," he said.
He said they will prioritise education and job creation. The leader from Mtubatuba in the uMkhanyakude region of KZN said his mission is to change South Africa and become a better country.
He said he had left the ANC as a treasure at regional level in uMkhanyakude.
He also said he left the EFF, which he joined in 2016, as EFF provincial secretary and member of the legislature.
Mthethwa is appealing to people to vote for the AEF next year.
Deputy president AEF John Kotelo said they're currently training party representatives.
"This party is unique. People are tired of the ANC. There is no home in the DA and EFF. The only good home is the AEF," he said.
He added that the party is pan-Africanist.
