FORMER president Jacob Zuma and EFF leader Julius Malema are among the most wanted criminals in Mzansi.
The Top 10 list of people who should face prosecution for state capture was released by ActionSA president Herman Mashaba on Wednesday, 3 April, at the “Saxonwold Shebeen” in Joburg.
“I can't think of a better place to announce our list of Top 10 Most Wanted Prosecutions, and the action we intend taking, to ensure that those culpable are brought to book than the ‘Saxonwold Shebeen’,” Mashaba said.
He said his party intends holding them accountable for their wicked action.
“Regrettably, it was incredibly difficult to only draw up 10 names, not because they're so few but sadly because we're spoiled for choice in the corruption department and there's a line-up of luminaries who should have made the cut."

Other names that made it to the elite group of “criminals” include former ANC secretary-general and African Congress for Transformation president, Ace Magashule, businessman Edwin Sodi, EFF's deputy president Floyd Shivambu, ANC chairman and Mineral Resources and Energy minister Gwede Mantashe, ANC NEC member Malusi Gigaba, former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede, ANC first deputy secretary-general Nomvula “Mama Action” Mokonyane, and former health minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize.
Mashaba said ActionSA wants those who are named as corrupt to be investigated and their investigations moved from the magistrates courts system to the commercial courts.
Mashaba mentioned that an ActionSA government would never interfere in public prosecutions.
He said: “We, however, believe that politics have shielded these individuals from accountability. How is it possible that after mounting evidence, and two years after the final State Capture Report was tabled, not a single successful state capture conviction has taken place?
“Nor have any of the individuals with adverse findings against them sought to take the report on review, as confirmed by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
“We simply can't live in a country that allows this level of immunity any longer!”
Mashaba said Mzansi needed political will to take action, capacitate the NPA and ensure that it fulfils its mandate without fear of repercussion.
