ACTIONSA promises to put South Africans first.
Party chairman, Michael Beaumont told a media briefing at Ellis Park Arena, Joburg, on Friday, 22 March that ActionSA was the only party that presents a credible alternative to the citizens who have been let down by a failed pollical establishment.
He said the party wished to hold its manifesto launch on Saturday, 23 March, at a bigger venue than the arena but it was a question of resources.
Beaumont said: "As a new political party and not yet represented in Parliament, we don't have access to the R1,5 billion that failed political parties in South Africa have rewarded themselves with and around which they're filling stadiums at the expense of the South African taxpayer."
He said their manifesto will be different because it will not present pie-in-the-sky solutions but practical implementable plans.
"We've watched one party after another in the failed political establishment in South Africa who come out and misread the national mood. They've made promises on top of broken promises, and there's no credibility behind those manifestos," he told Daily Sun.
He said ActionSA will deliver what the party calls "the 5 + 1 priorities".

“We're going to deal with the economy and how we're going to grow it through programmes, from the private and public sectors. We're going to deal with the need for economic justice and with our policy of inclusive economic empowerment. The first real alternative is to ensure that economic empowerment takes place at grassroots level. We're going to deal with ending load shedding, and our timeframes and plans to ensure that that happens,” said Beaumont.
He said his party will also deal with getting rule of law established in South Africa.
Particularly, ActionSA's manifesto will be on substance abuse and gender-based violence, which remain untreated instead of the rhetoric by the government.
“Finally, the Plus One includes programmes around how we're going to achieve these things. There's been too little from political parties around how they are going to live up to their big promises. We'll focus on a message of how we going to do it so that South Africans can see and believe that there's really an alternative that can fix their lives going forward."
ActionSA Gauteng leader, Funzi Ngobeni said their plans were aimed at empowering South Africans.
“We'll ensure that South Africans are safe in their homes and prioritise for job creation,” he said.
