ACTIONSA leader Herman Mashaba said Ace Magashule's legal threats don't move him.

Mashaba was responding to the African Congress Transformation (ACT) statement, which threatened to sue him and his party if he didn't provide evidence of its party leader's alleged corruption dealings.

Last week, ActionSA posted on X the top 10 most wanted prosecutions. The tweet included an image of Magashule, former president Jacob Zuma, EFF leader Julius Malema and several others.

This rubbed Magashule the wrong way, who later demanded that Mashaba provide the authorities with proof that he had stolen money in the Free State as suggested by ActionSA.

ACT said failing to do so Magashule would not hesitate to exercise his legal rights against Mashaba.

"Magashule or anyone mentioned in our statement lives in a constitutional democracy, and the rights I or ActionSA enjoys, they also enjoy. So, no one should really stop them from exercising their constitutional rights.

"So, I'm not the one to advise him on what really to do. I think he is a politician; he's got a legal team let him do what his legal team is advising him to do," he said.

Mashaba said if they believe that his party has overstepped their views and their right, they should do what they think is right to protect themselves.

"We shall wait for their actions in this particular matter," he said.

He further said should they win the elections, they will, without any doubt, take over the pending cases emanating from the State Capture amongst others.

"We have realised that our criminal system has been captured, and the only way South Africans can see justice is to stop this deep-rooted corruption of this current government. We must ask the South Africans to give us the opportunity to be in government.

"Because when we are in government, we will with immediate effect reestablish the Scorpions and independent Chapter 9 institutions to deal with cases of corruption that have really plagued our country in the last 30 years," he said.
