ACTIONSA chairman in the Eastern Cape, Athol Trollip, has found himself in an awkward position after his account allegedly made an inappropriate comment on Twitter (X).

An X account called @Onlymoms3 posted two women in sexy bikinis with a caption asking X users who they would rather poke, the mother or the daughter.

Trollip’s X account allegedly responded by suggesting that he would rather poke the mum.

"The one whose had twenty odd years more exposure to the sun," Trollip account responded.

Other X users suggested that Trollip was using social media and drinking at the same time.

X user @Sanada_N said: "Must have been brandy and coke. A dangerous combination, Faku. Next time lumka."

But Trollip said he was hacked and the person who posted the picture was not authorised to do so. Trollippi has released a statement on ActionSA letterhead saying he has taken action to resolve the matter.

"We regret to inform you of an incident involving my official Twitter account where unauthorised content was posted. We are treating this matter with utmost seriousness and have followed the necessary recommendations from Twitter Support.

"Immediate action has been taken to secure the account and efforts are being made to thoroughly investigate the incident. We appreciate your trust and respectful engagement and will work to resolve this issue promptly,” Trollip said.
