A HEAD-ON collision between a truck and a sedan claimed four lives on Saturday, 25 March.
The accident happened on R23 road between Standerton and Val in Mpumalanga.
The driver of the sedan and three passengers were killed instantly, and three other people who sustained injuries were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Mpumalanga Community Safety and Security Liaison spokesman, Moeti Mmusi, said the dead are all men in in their 40s.
"One person was seriously injured while two more passengers escaped with slight injuries. All the injured were rushed to the nearby hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured," Mmusi said.
Although the matter is still under investigation, Mmusi said that dangerous overtaking is suspected to have been the cause of the accident.
