FOUR people died in a head-on collision on the N4 outside Zeerust on Friday, 1 March, and three others were taken to Zeerust Hospital.
According to investigations, a car that was travelling from Zeerust crashed into a taxi that was travelling in the opposite direction. Both cars caught fire during the crash.
The taxi is reported to have been from Zeerust to Dinokana village.
Two pupils from Zeerust Combined School were injured in the accident.
They sustained injuries, one to the right hand and the other on the leg. Both pupils are currently receiving medical attention at Zeerust Hospital and are in a stable condition.

MEC for Education in the North West, Viola Motsumi, conveyed her heartfelt wishes for a speedy and full recovery to the injured pupils.
“The well-being of our pupils is our top priority, and we're committed to providing them with the necessary support during this difficult time,” said Motsumi.
The MEC said psychological safety will be offered to the pupils, their families and the school on Monday, 4 March.
The North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Sello Lehari sent messages of condolences to the families of the dead and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
