A MAN (43) from Daveyton, in Ekurhuleni, was allegedly assaulted with a pickaxe.
He went to the shop to buy something, and when he arrived, he found a customer arguing with the shop owner.
According to Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, the victim alleged that, on Saturday, 23 March, he went to the shop to buy something.
"When he arrived, he found the suspect arguing with the shop owner.
"The complainant then asked the suspect to step aside to allow him to buy what he wanted, and he and the shop owner would continue arguing," said Thepa.

She said the suspect left the store, came back with a pickaxe, and all hell broke loose.
"He allegedly assaulted the victims with the pickaxe.
"Our officers located the suspect on 27 March, and he was arrested for assault GHB at the Daveyton Police Station," Thepa said.
She added that the suspect appeared in the Daveyton Magistrates Court on 28 March. The matter was postponed to Monday, 8 April.
