PROPHET (48), who is accused of sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl, has had his bail hearing postponed until Wednesday, 20 March.
This follows a review of documents filed by his wife on Monday, 11 March.
The Zimbabwean national of Baghdad informal settlement in Ivory Park is alleged to have called the young girl as she walked past his house.
The incident happened on Monday, 12 February 2024 and the suspect was arrested the next day.
He allegedly forced her to sit on him and sexually assaulted the victim.
It is reported that he then took the young girl to his indumba, laid her on the bed and began to pray.
While he was praying, his ubuhlali (beads) broke and he allegedly told the little girl that he wanted to do adult things with her but would wait until she could wear a pad and then let her go.
The girl then went home and told her grandmother about the incident.
She told her that the accused was playing with her sexually and her granny reported the matter to the Ivory Park Police Station.

When the gogo returned to Baghdad from the police station and went for a walk with her granddaughter, the same man allegedly gave the nine-year-old a R5 coin and told her to buy something at school as her grandmother had no money for it.
The gogo was shocked by the gesture and went back to the police station.
A resident said: "When the grandmother came to me and told me about this man, I called the police. I spoke to the young girl, and she told me that this man had done this to many girls. I called the girls and asked them what the uncle had done to them. They said they were afraid of the uncle. He likes to force them to sit on him."
She claimed that many people are afraid to come forward for fear of being bewitched by the prophet.
Sindiswa Kofi, another resident, member of the community, said: "I am here because I want to know what happened."
The Prophet's wife refused to comment when asked what she thought of all these allegations against her husband.
According to local councillor Christopher Mohlala, the young girl is being cared for by the Teddy Bear Foundation and is attending school.
"Even if he is released on bail, we do not want him to go back to Baghdad because we do not want the little girl to be victimised by his presence," he said.
