Gogo - 'Save my son from evil spirits'

A 60-YEAR-OLD gogo from Sebokeng, Vaal is asking SunReaders to save her grandson (10) from evil spirits.

She said that her grandson was living with his great-grandmother and aunt in Mpumalanga in April when the boy alerted the father that he hasn’t been to school since February.

The father (30) went to fetch his son to stay with him in Sebokeng but after three days, the boy started showing weird signs.

He wasn’t sleeping and his voice started was arguing. His voice sounding like that of an old man.

When the dad tried to hold the boy down, he fought back with the strength of a grown man.

When he questioned the boy, he said he hasn’t been to school as he had been looking after a big snake.

The boy said he made sure the snake had eaten, went out to a nearby stream during the day and returned to its room in the afternoon.

He also told his father that at night he went with his great-grandmother, the snake and a something likemonkey to a stream where they met people wearing black clothes and they would sing throughout the night.

The gogo in Sebokeng now needs help for grandson.

She said other kids won’t play with him and run away from him.The family fears that he might hurt them as he gets violent. and nobody can stop him.

The gogo said the boy has been to izangoma and prophets, but they only saw a change for a day or two.

The father told Daily Sun that at first he didn’t believe his son thinking he doesn’t want to go to school, but at his son makes scary sounds and cries at night. , saying he is not coming back.

“When we look at him, he is fast asleep but saying strange things,” he said.

He said his son’s face is swollen but the clinic can’t help him because whe he fetched his son, his great-grandmother refused to give him his clinic card. or birth certificate.

“When I take him to the clinic as his face is swollen, they won’t help him because they want the clinic card,” he said.

“We need help before it’s too late,” said the father.

Gobela Dumehlezi Mbokazi from Vosloorus said the boy needed to be cleansed.

He said: “The family must take the boy to a strong sangoma who will perform rituals to make the evil spirits go away.”
