AUTHOR Zoleka Mandela is planning on donating her eggs now that she’s been diagnosed with stage four cancer.
She wrote a poll on Twitter asking people what she should do with her eggs and they advised her to anonymously donate.
“Beloved hearts! What do you think I should do with my eggs which have been stored at the fertility clinic now that I have been diagnosed with stage 4, terminal cancer?” she asked.
The options from the poll are anonymously donate, and store and discard – 81,6% of the votes said she should donate the eggs.
She then thanked people for supporting and encouraging her.

“Poll results are in … I value your support and encouragement you provide … Thank you so much, beloved hearts,” she wrote.
Zoleka, who is a two-time cancer survivor, shared the news of the return of the cancer in August.
She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and she had a bilateral mastectomy, a removal of both breasts, all breast tissue and nipples.
The cancer returned in 2016 and she beat it again.
“I’ve had a sore back for more than a month now, and recently consulted with my GP (general practitioner) when I could no longer tolerate the excruciating pain in my left rib. I went for an x-ray of my chest and rib a few days ago – I have a pathological fracture and swelling caused by cancer,” she wrote.

“My medical oncologist has scheduled me for a CT (computerised tomography) scan and bone scan, to determine whether I have cancer in the remaining parts of my body. From what she’s told me, cancer in the bones cannot be eradicated nor can it be cured. I have bone metastasis,” she continued.
Zoleka is a mum of six. She recently gave birth to baby number six in April.
