EVENT organiser Queen Kay is angry that she is being portrayed as someone using Zola 7’s plight for her own benefit.

This after she booked Zola, real name Bonginkosi Dlamini, for an event called Sophiatown at Rio Klerksdorp on 16 April.

She allegedly paid R10 000 to book him and shared the poster on Facebook. But Zola’s refuted her claim, saying he was not part of the event.

“I know nothing about the event. I was not paid. If you attend it to see me, do not waste your time. Andizi #namanje,” he wrote.

However, Queen Kay said: “Zola and I have been communicating since last year via WhatsApp. This year when he was reportedly going through a rough time, I visited him. So when I organised the event, I contacted him and agreed I’d pay R10 000 for his performance. After making payment, I shared the poster and that’s when the problem started.” She said Zola denied she had paid him.

“He said his SIM card was stolen so someone else is using it. I asked myself how that was possible because he was still responding with the same number.

Daily Sun has seen the proof of payment in question.

On Monday, Zola announced on social media that his SIM was stolen.

He wrote: “My SIM card has been stolen. If anyone calls or WhatsApp you asking for money, it is not me! Do not entertain them. Please be aware.” His manager Siki Kunene did not respond when asked about the event or payment. She stopped taking calls.
