ACTRESS Zinhle Sikhosana says her husband, Ukhozi FM’s Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe, is her blessing.

Zinhle (29) said she believes she landed the role of Vakashile on Mzansi Magics new drama, Uzulu NoMhlaba, because of what Tshatha taught her.

She posted: “He didn’t use his connections for me to land a job. He taught me a lot about maskandi music and culture. He is highly informed about maskandi and getting married to him gave me the platform to learn about this genre and different cultures for free. That’s why I say I got this role because of him since this drama series is all about maskandi.”

Uzulu NoMhlaba is about the lives of two maskandi artists at war over music. It was shot in Ulundi, northern KZN.

Zinhle said that her acting career was finally coming together.

“I love acting. But sometimes when one goes from one audition to another, without luck, they get tired and start to give up. I’m not saying that happened to me. What I’m trying to say is; acting requires one to have something to fall back on during tough times. That’s why I’m running the cleaning service company,” she said.
